Frac Tanks Containment
Secondary Containment Berms
During oil fracking operations and fracking water storage, secondary containment is often a requirement to help keep liquids stored inside the tanks completely contained. Due to their flexible design, one of the best options for this type of tank containment is a Secondary Containment Berm. These containment berms are lightweight, economical, and can be made in several sizes to successfully contain frac tanks.
Containment Berm Options
Due to the wide range of containment requirements needed during fracking tank storage, there are a couple of different berm options that may be able to easily work for your location. These berms include the following:
Foam Wall Berms: If you are looking for an option that can be directly driven over, another berm you might want to consider is the foam wall containment berm. Foam will feature a diameter of either 4", 6", or 8" and will be built directly into the walls of the berm. This will allow for vehicles to drive directly over the walls of the berm to move completely into the containment area. Standard and custom sizing is available for these berms. For more information, check out Foam Wall Berm Sizing Options.
Aluminum Angle Berms: One of the most common containment options is the aluminum angle berm. These berms features a lightweight structure with aluminum angle side walls. This helps create a high
wall height of one foot (1'), while also providing a rigid structure around your frac tanks. Aluminum angle berms are made from several materials including LLDPE, Reinforced PVC, and Polyurethane. Sizing typically includes widths from 8 to 15 feet and lengths from 8 to 66 feet. View All Spill Berm Sizing Options.
